Television Platform Bible

Historically, television series have had what’s called a show bible, a reference guide to assist the writers in maintaining narrative continuity and character consistency for episodic screen presentation of story. Though there is a general format and certain elements or sections that you’ll find in all television story bibles, there is also room for a certain degree of variation and creativity; for example, the Dark Skies show bible looks like a top-secret file of conspiracy evidence including government memos, investigative reports, magazine covers and other cryptic documents. This made the actual show bible itself consistent with the universe and stories Dark Skies was telling.
