I put myself in the student’s place and remember the frustrations, doubts, determination, and desires I felt going through the initial learning process.
–TED MARTINEZ, BASEBALL ATHLETE
Think of the last time you challenged yourself to learn something new. A tough course. A foreign language. A sports activity. Remember the frustrations you may have felt. The oopses you may have made. It’s all too easy to forget what it’s like when you’re trying to learn something. Put yourself in your learners’ places to better understand the challenges they may be facing so you can provide them with the support and confidence they need to be successful.
