Glossary

Imagine Alice from Alice in Wonderland trying to decipher a weird language when she was thrust into her strange world. Jabberwocky, galumphing, and outgrabe were as weird to Alice as “scrum” and “metadata” may be to you. But Alice didn’t have a glossary. You do!

Sherylsays There are three words in this list that are exclusive to this book. You won’t find them anyplace else — at least not yet. I coined them. They are storyopia, slidezillas, and wall-paper.

artificial intelligence (AI):
Leverages computers and machines to mimic presentations as well as problem-solving and decision-making capabilities of the human mind.
asynchronous learning:
Learning that doesn’t take place in real time but is available when learners need the training.
augmented reality (AR):
Superimposes digital information into the user’s real-world environment.
C-suite:
Refers to most high-level executives; derived from the titles of top senior executives, which tend to start with the letter C: chief executive officer (CEO), chief financial officer (CFO), chief operating officer (COO), chief information officer (CIO), chief experience officer (CXO), and others who typically sit in corner-office suites.
clouds:
Virtual spaces that exist on the Internet as storage where people can place their digital resources such as software, applications, and files.
collaborative software:
Enables the sharing, processing, ...
