I may have looked calm on the outside as I stared out at the 100 or so people who attended the session I was delivering on becoming a freelancer, but on the inside, I was having an existential crisis. Questions kept popping into my head. Why was I freelancing? What was I sacrificing to do this? Why couldn’t I have just been happy I had a job, and accept that we all have to take the good with the bad? Why was I so hung up on being free? What was I trying to prove?
