The War for Talent, Version 3.0

Increasingly, it would seem the situation that McKinsey & Company forecasted in 1997 has come true. The attraction of human capital and true talent has become one, if not the major, source of competitive advantage. According to the survey they conducted and then released at the time of the book War for Talent in 2001, companies that excelled in talent management achieved a total return to shareholders that was 22% better than the average in their industry.
