Project Implementation Questions

The following was written for a leadership development program where the leaders were working on projects to help develop their skills. I led a session and only asked questions 1, 3, 4, and 5.

I then used my definition of a goal (Appendix D) to help clarify their goals. I discovered that their initiatives or projects had no measurable goals and many had no idea what problem they were trying to solve beyond, “I am fixing a broken process.”

Apply these questions to ensure that projects are tied to business results, organizational alignment, task component clarity, and diligence to the socio-technical components of project implementation.
