On the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, millions of Americans were preparing for their commute to work. In the Eastern United States people awoke to nearly cloudless skies and for those heading to an airport, weather conditions were perfect for a safe and pleasant journey. Among those traveling that morning were Mohammed Atta and Abdul Aziz al Omari. They both arrived at the Portland International Jetport and approached the First Class counter of American Airways.
