BUILDING THE LAST FRONTIER, THE LEAN STRATEGY

Although the merits of the lean approach have been known for over half a century, very few corporations have been successful in embracing it as a corporate strategy.

It is time for both CEOs and boards to recognize the basic difference between traditional and lean strategy. The lean strategy is both a top-down and bottom-up strategy. In its wake, all business processes are connected in one long and continual flow from the beginning till the end of operations. Employees need to carry out the standardized work to maintain a smooth and swift flow of operations throughout the entire processes based on the customer expectations.
