WE ALL LIKE and appreciate persons who are good at listening. A good listener is perceived as a better communicator, and as they are more likely to be admired, they are perceived as more trustworthy.1 This is an important reason for all of us to strive to become better at listening. More people will treasure our company, and a good listener will be better positioned than others to build trusting relationships.
