Managing Your Project’s Stakeholders

Stakeholders have the power to help or hurt your initiatives, so managing them is an essential part of project management. Your project sponsor is your number one stakeholder, but the strategies that are effective in working with your project sponsor will also work with other executive stakeholders—whether you have multiple sponsors, a project steering committee, or just very interested executives. We expand the discussion to additional stakeholders to better prepare the project manager for communicating across the organization to encourage project advancement and reduce risks and barriers.
