Chapter 22. Enhancing the Requirements Model

In this chapter, we describe the process of taking the technology-independent requirements model of the system and mapping it into an architecture model, which takes into account both the technology and the physical constraints in which the implemented system must work. As already indicated, this process is an iterative one in which the components of the requirements model are assigned to physical processes, while nonfunctional requirements, such as input and output processing, reliability, and so on, are added.
