History of the Liberti business model
Liberti’s business model evolved over many years. It didn’t start life as it is now. Indeed, neither did it have the Liberti name.
It originated from The FD Centre (FDC), founded in 2001 by Colin Mills, now executive chair, and his wife, Julie. FD stood for Finance Director and was more commonly used than CFO back then. FDC grew as a UK business and then overseas, offering the same part-time and fractional FD or CFO services to SMEs in each country. In 2022 all the CFO and FD businesses united under one brand name, The CFO Centre.
