JAN BENNETT was not accustomed to sitting in a posh meeting room of an Aspen resort hotel. A far cry from her home in Broomfield, Colorado, the place was filled with the world’s eco-intelligentsia like Al Gore and New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman.
