On August 20, 2013, twenty-year-old Michael Brandon Hill, armed with an AK-47 and 500 rounds of ammunition, slipped through security at Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy, an elementary school in Decatur, Georgia. Once inside, he entered the front office and took bookkeeper Antoinette Tuff and others hostage.
