This chapter will present the use of PWAS transducers as high-frequency modal sensors. The use of PWAS transducers as high-frequency modal sensors has been made possible by the electromechanical (E/M) impedance method, which couples the mechanical impedance of the structural substrate with the electrical impedance measured at the PWAS transducer terminals.
