Structured Search Framework
Abstract
This chapter introduces design principles, framework, and data architecture for structured search systems based on the key-object model. It presents eight design principles of the systems realizing the structured search paradigm. They include query independence, search scalability, security control, and others. The functions of the systems are as follows: facilitating query origination, delivering queries to data providers, collecting responses to the queries from the data providers, and delivering the responses to the query originators.
