Boot These Words and Phrases From Your Business-Speak

Words can be traps, so choose yours carefully. In business, the wrong words can jumble your intended message. Their too-often-misinterpreted innuendos play a significant role in how you are perceived and whether or not you are worthy of doing business with them.

The words you use in your business dealings can place you in a certain era with which you may or may not want to be pigeon-holed. “That’s cool” places you squarely into the seventies, while “holistic” identifies you as a relative newbie, almost a business fetus.

The English language has 470,000 words (Oxford and Webster Dictionaries), so I am sure you can find alternatives to this hoard of cringe-worthy words that are just not “cool” ...
