Entering Competitions to Win an Award
As you know my first experience of winning an award was at school in 2012, with the BiG Challenge competition. I learned then that even if you don’t win, simply entering can be a huge boost to your self-esteem. It’s the most important part, also making sure to stay humble when celebrating success, not boast about it.
I sold keyrings and greetings cards back then, with my friend, Gabe. Just before the spring break we were shortlisted for an award and asked to prepare a presentation to the panel of judges and business experts. I was both terrified and excited.
