Chapter 12. Investing Wisely in Risk Reduction

We turn now to consider what kind of investment is appropriate in trying to reduce risks. Specifically, to what extent should you let the consideration of risk alter the design of the business process and the supporting systems?

First, you need an understanding of what the risks actually are, and you need to understand the extent to which each potential business process or system design change will actually reduce the risk.
