5. “Why?” Is a Great Place to Start

There are two main, foundational points to start building our measures of success: mission and vision. These are universal concepts, applicable to all organizations. Every organization has a core reason for existing—a purpose—although it may manifest itself in different forms.

The easiest examples are those organizations that have the clearest mission and vision.
