The LOVEFiLM Years Post-Production

My departure from LOVEFiLM was announced on 7 February 2012. But a lot of preparation work had been going on behind the scenes before then. In many ways being a good leader is not dissimilar to a VC, in that you know there will be an exit at some point in the future and you have to do what you can to plan for that exit, without destabilizing the existing team and without allowing the organization to lose momentum. The secret to a smooth transition and a good succession, as with so much in life, lies in effective planning and strong communication.
