5.7. Sales Transactions
Sales transactions in Microsoft CRM encompass quotes, orders, and invoices. These sales transaction components can be used directly from a customer record, or in conjunction with sales opportunities. However, deciding correctly if and to what extent to use sales transactions in Microsoft CRM is primarily dictated by your organization's sales processes and the level of system integration being implemented. In most organizations, sales processes have opportunity management, quote, and order generation being performed by the Sales department and invoicing being performed by Accounting.
