Improving the Quality of Federal Grants Applications
The effectiveness of a district grants office should not be measured by the acceptance rate of submitted federal applications or by how much federal grant money is awarded to your district. This is particularly true if the proposals are for federal pass-through dollars that are based on formulas such as the number of students receiving free school lunches, or if the office does not have a significant role in evaluating the quality of federal proposals.
