Introduction

Effective recruitment is critical to an organization’s success. If there is any truth in that well-worn cliché that “people are an organization’s greatest asset,” then it would seem obvious that close attention should be paid to ensuring that:

  • Recruitment processes are robust.
  • Job descriptions and person specifications are clear and up to date.
  • Selection criteria are clearly defined and understood.
  • Panel members are trained in the knowledge and skills required to sift applications and interview candidates effectively.
