In this chapter, I show you how to schedule activities with your contacts, how to view those activities (and modify them if necessary), and even how to find out whether you completed a scheduled activity. Finally, you find out how to take notes so you can say "hasta la vista" to the sticky notes and paper scraps decorating your office.
One of the most useful of Sugar's features is its ability to tie an activity, such as a call, meeting, or task, to a specific record. Most basic calendaring programs allow you to view your appointments and tasks on your calendar, but they don't offer a way of cross-referencing an appointment to a record. For example, if you schedule an appointment with me and forget when that appointment is, you have to flip through a traditional calendar until you see my name. Plus, you can't easily see a list of all appointments that you've ever scheduled with me. However, SugarCRM offers these helpful features.
