The rest of this book gives you the information you need in order to understand a lot about how SPARC systems running Solaris work and about the basic principles involved in performance and tuning. Probably all you really want right now is to be told what to do or what to buy and how to set it up. This section just tells you what to do, with references to the rest of the book if you want to find out why. If you decide that you want to vary the recipes and do something different, you should really read the rest of the book first!
