Are You Making It Too Hard?

Do you sometimes wonder why other people achieve monumental success…and you're working just as hard, and are coming up with ideas that are just as good, but you're still struggling? Or have you ever seen some crazy product on an infomercial and said to yourself, “Hey, I thought of that!” Yet you're not the one collecting millions of dollars from the sale of that product. Those are clues that you need to look more closely at your process. Some of this may boil down to the difference between the can't-do and can-do attitudes. But some of the problem may also be in the strategies you are using to get where you want to go.

In my experience as the CEO of an integrated marketing company and business growth consultant, I constantly run across situations where people are making things way too hard and complicated for themselves. Now I suppose you could argue that it's easy from my perspective because I have vast experience in solving business problems like improving marketing and sales performance, leveraging the technology of the Internet, and improving bottom-line results. Maybe so, but as soon as the individuals learn to use tools and strategies I offer, they remark how easy it is now.
