Chapter 16. Week Fourteen: The Process Performance Summary: The Numbers Behind the Pictures

The objective of this week is to summarize overall process performance—volume, cycle time, leading practice maturity, and yield—from the sixty or so Staple Yourself interviews, some form of leading practice assessment, and some creative data collection. The summary takes the form of six spreadsheets—one for each purchase order, work order, sales order, return authorization, forecast, and replenishment order.

The second objective is to introduce the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) process blueprint, which starts the design team thinking about how transactions flow should work.
