I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Abstract:
Duplex or hybrid surface engineering is the sequential application of two (or more) established surface technologies to produce a surface composite with combined properties which are unobtainable through any individual surface technology. Low friction coatings such as DLC, nitrides and oxides can be used as the top coating layer, which can not only increase wear resistance but also diminish interfacial shear stress and strain, and reduce the tendency for debonding of top coatings. A deep case-hardened layer can be used as the bottom layer, which can significantly enhance the load-bearing capacity and improve the coating/film adhesion. In this chapter, ...
