As a general rule, people do not like to hear bad news, and testers are frequently the bearer of bad news. Much like the couriers in ancient Rome, the testers sometimes pay a price for the bad news they bring. Fortunately, in today’s business world, the bearer of bad news is not killed—but sometimes the punishment is a modern form of termination.
