In this chapter, we’re going to briefly discuss how to think about your resume. There’s a lot of debate on the “proper structure of a resume” on the Internet. There are a wide variety of opinions and they shift a lot over time, more often resembling fashion advice than the sort of “engineering and math” advice that is more typical of a development career.

This was probably the hardest chapter in this book to write. It wasn’t because of the availability of opinions, which are too numerous to count, but rather because every opinion made significant assumptions about what constituted a “good” ...
