The Proposed “New York Fashion Act”

In January, 2022, the Fashion Sustainability and Social Accountability Act (or Fashion Act) was unveiled to the state’s legislature in Albany. If passed, it would make New York the first state in the country to pass a legislation that would effectively hold the biggest brands in fashion to account for their role in climate change.
