In the world of business, “sustainable” is frequently used to describe the process of conducting business in ways that protect Earth and its inhabitants from irreparable damage caused by human activities. The irreparable damage to the environment has direct economic and social consequences for the present and future generations. Over the last century, people have used much of Earth’s resources with little regard for their use by future generations.
