6. New Windows 7 Features
Microsoft has gone to great lengths to provide Windows 7 users with a much more user-friendly interface, along with a number of features users have requested. Vista users will find much that’s familiar, along with some new and some upgraded features. XP users will find a vastly changed user interface and many new applications and features (as well as some apps and features that have gone by the wayside). Further, Windows 7 has been constructed so that upgrading from one version of Windows 7 to another is relatively painless.
This chapter explores some of the new features of Windows 7.
