About Deployment Types
Deployment types (DTs) are a major component of the application. You can almost compare a DT to a program, used with packages in both ConfigMgr 2007 and ConfigMgr 2012. Just as a program contains the installation command line and any platform requirements (such as Windows 7 x86), a DT contains this same basic info, and much more. Here’s a brief list of some of the most important information this chapter discusses for DTs:

• Install and uninstall command lines.
