Publications

Publications group updates for mass publishing into ConfigMgr, enabling their use and deployment or for export to a catalog that you can distribute to others. The use of publications is optional and of themselves have no real functionality; think of them as update lists.

You view existing publications from the Publications workspace in the console. To create a publication, choose the Publication tab in the ribbon bar, and choose Create. You can also create publications from selected updates in the Updates workspace by selecting those updates and choosing Assign or Publish from the ribbon bar or right-click context menu as described next in the “Updates” section.
