Custom Updates
A primary use of SCUP is creating custom updates that sit alongside the Microsoft updates for your own line of business applications or even third-party applications in use in your environment.
The first step in creating your own custom updates is to create the folder structure in the navigation tree on the Updates workspace, starting with the vendor at the top level, and then adding a folder for the product.
1. Select the All Software Updates node, and choose Create Vendor from the right-click context menu, or choose Vendor from the drop-down menu shown when you select Create from the Folders tab of the ribbon bar. Enter the vendor name in the resulting dialog box.
