Client Settings
The following granular client settings (discussed in Chapter 9) directly affect software updates functionality from the managed system’s or user’s perspective:
• Background Intelligent Transfer (BITS): Like all other content in ConfigMgr, software updates must be delivered to clients. The various BITS settings enable you to throttle this content delivery from BITS enabled distribution points, minimizing user and network disruption.
• Client Policy, Client policy polling interval: ConfigMgr clients do not instantly know about new or changed deployments; this includes update deployments.
