Light Management
The light management model is built on top of Exchange ActiveSync; it requires Exchange 2010 Server or Exchange Online through Office 365. This management model does not require a client on the device nor a public key infrastructure (PKI). Here are capabilities available with this model:
• Inventory: The Exchange Server Connector gives the System Center 2012 Configuration Manager administrator the ability to get a light limited inventory from Exchange on ActiveSync-enabled devices connected through the Exchange environment.
• Controlling ActiveSync Policy: The administrator can control the default Exchange ActiveSync policy through a single pane of glass.
