Building a Custom Report

This section discusses how to create a custom report. Creating a report requires creating a data source and defining the data fields for your query. Some reports are best viewed using a chart, also discussed in this section.

First, you need a data source. A data source can be created as a shared data source, or created to be used by the report. The authors recommend creating a shared data source because the data source can be properly secured and be reused for multiple reports. Perform the following steps:
