Remote Connection Profiles
Remote connection profiles are new with ConfigMgr 2012 R2; they enable users to start a remote desktop connection to their primary devices. If the organization has implemented a Remote Desktop Gateway server, the user can connect to his primary device from any Windows workstation or Android/iOS device with a remote desktop client outside the organization’s internal network.
On-premise Windows workstations with a full ConfigMgr client require a remote connection policy that enables the remote desktop service and grants Remote Desktop permission to the primary users of the device.
