So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

What really makes IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) exciting is its capability to deliver a diverse set of services. Because of this, IMS is viewed as a platform in the network, which can scale from basic telephony services to next-generation multimedia services. We are going to examine the nature of services that are possible with IMS, and then explore them in detail. The initial trend of services with IMS has been to host the contemporary applications such as presence, messaging, and Push to Talk. The true potential of IMS is to deliver converged, combinational, and blended services, which can offer a truly rich experience to the user.
