Computer Applications

In the 1950s, specifications were often created on a typewriter by a secretary based on inputs from engineers. At the time there were not a lot of digital computers available nor the software applications effective in supporting specification publishing. In 2013, when this book was published many enterprises created specifications using special applications operating on digital computers. One of the fundamental concepts of this book is the use of a single UADF and deriving all requirements appearing in specifications using that UADF. Ideally, the enterprise would acquire a set of computer applications that coordinate with this preferred modeling set and train personnel in the use of that tool set.
