The contents of the book provided a journey of exploration in which each chapter was built on the previous chapters and provided exercises to practice the knowledge explained in the chapter. Namely:
Chapter 1 introduced the book and the risk framework and recommended a way to read this book if you are not using it as a textbook. The Chapter continued with an introduction to the systems approach and concluded with a summary of the major risks in any activity and some ways to mitigate them.
