This annex comprises a number of self‐contained sections documenting example implementations of the SECF and SECAG.
Note that each example was created within its specific organizational context and thus may or may not be applicable to another content. Thus, these examples are informative rather than guidance.
SECAG ANNEX B1 – USING THE SECF/SECAG FOR CANDIDATE RECRUITMENT AND ASSESSMENT
This is an example of how to create a job announcement for candidate recruitment and a set of candidate assessment questions.
Candidate Recruitment Job Announcement
In this example, the announcement is targeting recent graduates from universities. Most competencies would be found in the Supervised Practitioner proficiency level. The statement from any competency or KSA can become the basis for a statement.
For this example, a system architect is needed. Suppose there are four desired competencies associated with a new system architect job. For this example, the competencies, as listed in SECAG Table B1‐1, have been determined by competency managers for the organization.
The individual writing the job description typically begins by filling out a company‐provided template using the descriptions of the four desired competencies for the specific proficiency levels desired. The results are presented in SECAG Table B1‐2.
