One of the most serious aspects of successful systems engineering is that of implementing (project) a team. Each member of this team needs to be carefully chosen and must understand his or her place in the team.

I have been a member of highly functional teams and also in a position of team oversight on more than one large-scale system development projects. Here are a few observations and suggestions regarding the building and workings of a systems engineering team.
