This book is dedicated to using window functions in your T-SQL code. In large part, the book covers windowing and related analytical features that at the date of this writing have already been implemented in T-SQL. That’s what you would naturally expect from a book entitled “T-SQL Window Functions.” However, as you’ve already noticed, the book also exposes you to features that are part of the SQL standard but that have not yet been implemented in T-SQL. I find this coverage just as important.
