How to do it…

  1. In the Data pane, click on the black arrow to the right of the Dimensions tab and select Create Parameter…:

  1. In the Create Parameter window, change the name of the parameter from Parameter 1 to Average employment cut-off:

  1. Leave all the other settings as they are, and click OK to exit the window. A new section, Parameters, will appear in the Data pane, beneath Measures. It will contain our new parameter, Average employment cut-off:
  1. Right-click on the Average Employment cut-off parameter under Parameters and select Show Parameter ...
