If you go to any of the major search engines and type the word Tableau, the search engine presents you with tens of millions of URLs resulting from a single query. If you are like me, you may review the first page or two, click a few interesting links, and then close your browser.
The truth is that most of the resources you’ll need are found on the Tableau website or managed by Tableau’s marketing team on social media platforms. In this final chapter, I provide a list of indispensable resources for anyone using Tableau. Let the countdown begin.
Tableau Free Trials
In the first chapter, I warn you that Tableau is pretty expensive per user. Depending on the technical need, you may not require all the bells and whistles to create, edit, and view data. Tableau allows users to take a test drive of their software for 14 days. Afterward, you can extend the trial, but some features will no longer be enabled. Free trials are a great way to get your feet wet by trying the exercises in this book. And, of course, if you have a real dataset and want to see how Tableau can handle it, the trial gives you the perfect window of opportunity.
