Call with FaceTime
tvOS 17 officially introduces FaceTime to the Apple TV. For years, (since the first edition of this book), you’ve been able to AirPlay a FaceTime call to your Apple TV, but now the capability is sanctioned through a FaceTime app, at least for the 2nd-generation Apple TV 4K and later.
But wait, the Apple TV 4K doesn’t feature a camera, nor a USB port that would let you connect one, so how does that work? Through the magic of Continuity Camera, you can use an iPhone or an iPad as an external camera for your Apple TV 4K.
